Taking learning advices from Mr. Musk

To some extents, Elon Musk inspires us one way or another. The mad man for sure has his low and his dark days, but we can’t ignore the fact that he is one of our kind, and if there is any other intelligent species in the vast vacuum of space that are looking at us, shall Elon Musk be the frontrunner to represent the humanity’s advancement for the moment.

Anyway, he read 2 books per day.

If he can build Tesla and produced cars with such speed, sure 2 books a day can sound like a make up (as I am feeling like a brain dead sheep scrolling up and down the Instagram feed several times a day) but with Elon Musk that sounds about right. Prodigy can be realized at a young age, but to go to a long way to where Musk is, take bunch of hot stuff and brain train to put up with the task.

So should I go through a similar brain train part? Let’s examine what Mr. Musk learning “secrets” are, according to tertiary information sourcing vault: Quora.

1. READ ABOUT EVERYTHING AND NOT JUST YOUR FIELD

Yeah, read. Like finding new things to study too and not just chewing up materials that you have been fed.

2. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH INTELLIGENT PEOPLE

“If you find yourself the smartest one in the room,..find another room!”

3. MASTER LEARNING TRANSFER

Don’t just read books. Use the knowledge!

4. BREAK DOWN THINGS INTO ITS FIRST PRINCIPLES

All tree leaves or branches grow on its roots and trunks. Master the basic first and then go to the advance later!

5. RECONSTRUCT THE FIRST PRINCIPLES IN NEW FIELDS

Use the principles that you learned to apply in the different fields that you have successfully learned about.

Good thing is that Elon Musk is still well alive, so being able to live the same planet with this guy is awesome. Can you imagine? Funny thing is, these types of value would either matter a lot or not at all, but I just want to point that out as an uplifting bonus to our persisting existence into the last half of 2020.
